Question Remapping the 1.9 yourself.

I've done a search and I see that some have remapped their own cars.
I have some questions!
I do not have a car yet but the first thing I have noticed is contradictory, when you put the details of the 120hp and the 150hp variants into the Celtic Tuning website it says that the engines are the same only differing in the software(the mapping).
BUT they then go on to give two different levels of HP something like 120 to 185 and the 150 to 210.
Can anyone tell me if the engines are the same as it would make more sense for me to buy the 120 if it is?

I have remapped a couple of cars and have a dedicated laptop for it along with Delphi and some other stuff.

I would have edited the above but there seems to be no option for that.

I have searched further and was amazed to find out that the 1.9 is an Alfa Romeo lump and it has the dreaded swirl flaps.

Do the swirl flaps need mapping out when you remove them? Does anyone have this code for the DIYer?
Really warming to the idea of a 210hp van

120 (z19dt) is a bit different from 150 (z19dth). The 120 is more reliable as it doesn't have the dreaded swirlflaps.

Is the 120 still a 16v as I've been reading about the oil filler cap being on the right for a 16v and on the left for an 8v.

Seems like a good car to buy as they are not a boy racer machine and there are a lot around with low mileage.

Yes, the 120 has its oil filler cap on the left and the 150 on the right.
