We are thinking of buying a Vauxhall Zafira and have seen a 2010 1.8 petrol Design which we are interested in buying. It has very low mileage.
We are used to diesel and not too sure about a petrol model.
Just wondering are there any Zafira models to avoid? Any particular models causing problems with engines etc?
Hopefully we will be buying either 2009 or 2010 model. We also have a caravan so will be towing up to 1100kg.

I have a 1.6l Breeze on a 58 plate which can struggle on hills, so a 1.8 might struggle with the caravan. Its ok at maintaining speedon a hill but its when accelerating that it struggles. It might be worth while checking out the power output of the engine first to see if this will be a problem for you.

Hope this helps

I don't know any to avoid, but would reccomend you stick with the diesels as they have more torque and pulling power, I have a 1.9 cdti (150) and she pulls very good. You can always re-map your ecu for an extra £200-£300 which will give more bhp and torque, plus fuel savings.
