Hi there can anyone help shed some light I’ve got a Zafira 59 plate 1.6 petrol the other day driving the car fine then later used car and went to accelerate in 3rd and the revs went up then went to 4th and it done same thing I was thinking clutch slipping then later took car out again and it didn’t happen it does it now and again can anyone shed any light many thanks

I think it's most likely clutch, if you were pressing the accelerator and it was revving but you were not going faster then it's clutch or pressure plate issue, it normally gets worse the longer you drive as there is more heat generated and the clutch and pressure plate become glazed which causes more gear slippage.
