</font>I have just
covered 7,500 miles in 6 months and had an average fuel consumption of 41.81
MPG. This is a true mileage consumption as I always fill the fuel tank to full
and record my mileage and litres in a note book, I do not just take what is
said on the on board computer. I must admit it is not as good as I had hoped
and I most certainly do not believe that the figures quoted by Vauxall can be achieved
on the open road. I am a very well qualified and experienced driver and cover a
good mix of driving conditions. I have found that driving at higher rev's in a
lower gear markedly improves the MPG. I never use 6</font>th</font> gear unless I
am travelling at 70mph on a motorway; the mpg is much better using 4</font>th</font>
and 5</font>th</font>. Perhaps this is the cost of the extra 16HP (125) engine.</font></font>
</font>As for the exhaust
smell I do occasionally find it smelling but only when I have done a short
Journey and it has started its cleaning cycle and this is not very often.</font>
</font>I have had a
Witter flange tow bar fitted but used the dedicated Vauxall wiring loom which
plugs into the rear fuse box in the boot. By using this wiring loom it tells
the reversing censers that a tow bar is fitted and I have had no problems at
all. (Used a national firm based in Whitby who carried out the work at my home
address).</font>
</font>As for the
car generally, I love it. There is usually only two of us, but I bought it for
its versatility and huge load carrying capability.</font>
