Hi all. This is my first post on this forum and would appreciate any
help / views that you can offer. I have an 05 (new shape) Zafira. It has
done 65,000 miles. Over the past few weeks a horrible rattle has
developed when you start to press the clutch in. It tends to go quiet
half way down but then kicks in again at the end of its travel.
Any ideas please on what it is or how to correct it.
Many thanks

unfortunally it is the flywheel,it is a common fault .you will have to replace the the flywheel, clutch and the release bearing.it should cost in the region of £850 to be fitted.
i hope this helps,craig.

Sounds the same as my 55 plate 1.9 CDTi, the mechanic replaced the clutch, but the noise was still there, it then had to go back in and have the flywheel replaced, thankfully he only charged me once for the labour.
