HiI have a 2002 1.8 Zafira, and im having a few problems,
The car when cold idles up and down as if its going to cut out and has real lose of power, ive had it tested and they got back to me with the throttle position sensor, ive read else where to remove the throttle body and give it a proper clean, this has helped with the power problem but not the idling when cold.
Ive looked all over and cant find a throttle position sensor listed for the 1.8 model, also does any one know whether the valve inside the throttle position body should be slightly open at all times or closed on idling.
Im new on here and would really appreciate your views,Thank youLee

it should be partially open ,but have you cleaned out the breather from the cam cover it is the smaller pipe out of the two of them, this sometimes affects the idling other than that unfortunally it means it is either the throttle body or the engine control unit.
i hope this helps,craig.
