It is a bit of a strange one. Does it try fire with a bit of easy start down the intake?

If it is the ECU then its been a coincidence but in my experience the ECU is blamed when the mechanic cannot find the fault.

Do you have any spanner light or engine light on the dash? I wonder if there are any fault codes.

Not sure the pedal trick works on the Y20DTH
