reset service light

hello every one. i do my own servicing on my zaff and before i go and the elecronic wiz thing to turn off my service light can anyone tell me if there is a way to do it by using the clock buttons? i was told that this was possible but the info was very vague. please advise

HI THERE,
REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION THEN PUSH THE TRIP METER BUTTON IN (KEEP IT PUSHED IN)THEN TURN YOUR IGNITION ON AND START THE CAR THEN RELEASE YOUR FINGER FROM THE TRIP METER AND THIS WILL TURN YOUR SERVICE LIGHT OFF.

should it then say insp 0 when u turn the ignition back on..

The Display will reset to 0 on the distance

i have just done mine by holding down the brake and throttle pedal and holding in the trip button, turn on ign whilst still holding down these things it will then zero itself, job done.

hi all just flushed and changed oil and filter everything was fine until about 130 miles then the service light came on and it went into get home mode
help
